Striking a balance matters!
Being a camp lead at Burning Man doesn’t mean giving up your own experience—it means helping shape one that includes you, too. The key is balance: leadership should be shared, not shouldered alone.
When roles are distributed and responsibilities are clear, leads can rotate, support one another, and actually enjoy the magic of the playa. After all, you’re not just running a camp—you’re living in it. With enough leads stepping up, everyone gets to dance, explore, connect, and return home full of dust and memories.
Bike Leads
For about an hour a day, take care of our campers bike. Replace flat tires, oil up the chains, adjust the height of the seat, and make our campers feel VIP.
Kitchen Leads
Feeding people is an act of beauty. We pride ourselves in preparing all of our food from scratch using fresh ingredients. Let's cook some shit up!
Leave No Trace Leads
Help us uphold one of the most important Burning Man principles: Leave No Trace. Educate yourself first, and then help us educate the rest of the camp.
